Planning the trip

We'd talked broadly about cycling from London to Paris or to Australia or around the world - but agreed that we neither had the time nor the money to undertake any great adventure in the immediate future. Rather than think big and do nothing, Tom suggested that we think smaller and do something. He further suggested India as a possible destination. I fancied a point to point as I love the notion of heading off in the morning toward a distant goal with nothing set in concrete. We studied google earth and airline timetables and came up with the route. Mumbai to the southern tip of India in three weeks. It sounded simple if you said it quickly.
